Community Group Education Sessions
 
The Victorian Continence Resource Centre has professional staff available to present to your organisation or community group. We regularly speak to community groups and can tailor the presentation to your specific needs. Topics usually covered in the presentation include:

  • What are bladder and bowel control problems
  • Who is affected
  • Healthy bladder and bowel habits to prevent and treat problems
  • Where to seek help

 
These sessions are provided free of charge for the majority of community groups. Donations are gladly accepted to assist us extend our services.

Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Groups
 
We regularly present to CALD community groups. We arrange a professional interpreter for presentations to CALD groups and provide free translated materials if available in the language requested.
 
Professional Development and Training
 
The Victorian Continence Resource Centre presents continence training programs for health professionals (including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, pharmacists and doctors) and allied health and personal care assistants.The program can be tailored to your requirements. Here are examples of recent presentations:

  • UTI's and Residents in aged care
  • Management of a Resident with an indwelling urinary catheter
  • Incontinence a Women's Health Issue
  • Pregnancy, Childbirth and Continence
  • Toilet training for children with disability
  • Continence Promotion and the Resident in aged care
